In the accompanying statement from Rockstar Games, they are thanking the fans for the patience, and that they will need the extra time to polish the game even further. They also released a couple of new in-game rendered screenshots to show us how beautiful the game will be. Without more details about the development plans, we are hoping that they will take these extra 6 months to focus on polishing the game to take full advantage of both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X processing powers, to deliver a game optimized to run in true 4K graphics. Until then we hope that more information will be shared in the coming gaming events of 2018, such as E3 and Gamescom, where we will hopefully get our hands on it and test it.
Red Dead Redemption was originally announced in October 2016 and releasing on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
